SMS hub
The n-Tel SMS Inter-carrier Hub is a comprehensive solution that enables the message exchange between Mobile Operators regardless of their network and transport technologies.
The SMS Inter-carrier Hub allows Mobile Operators to send and receive SMS messages to/from other wireless service providers.
The SMS Inter-carrier Hub minimizes the implementation time and cost for the Mobile Operators and expands the number of the roaming agreements.
The SMS Inter-carrier Hub connects to wireless Mobile Operators’ messaging systems, such as Short Message Service Centers (SMSCs), and routes messages between service providers, allowing the subscribers to send messages easily to their friends, family, and colleagues.
The SMS Inter-carrier Hub handles the routing, messaging protocol conversions, and reformatting necessary to complete the delivery between incompatible networks and provides billing information, reporting statistics, and other services to the participating Mobile Operators.
When a Mobile Operator is connected to the SMS Inter-carrier Hub, he routes all out-of-network messages from any originating subscriber to the SMS Inter-carrier Hub.
The SMS Inter-carrier Hub forwards the messages to the recipient subscribers of another wireless network. Messages are sent from the originating network to SMS Inter-carrier Hub via messaging protocols such as SMPP over TCP/IP. Each message is routed internally in SMS Inter-carrier Hub to an outbound module, which communicates with the recipient network’s messaging system.
The SMS Inter-carrier Hub can have interface with major network technologies (GSM, TDMA, CDMA, iDEN,) using major text messaging protocols (SMPP, SMTP, HTTP).
The SMS Inter-carrier Hub can have interface with SMSCs, messaging front-ends, messaging hubs, wireless Internet gateways, or other system nodes that utilize these interfaces.
